In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Recent experience* in receiving and/or shipping material.

Recent experience* in using the following types of handling and storage equipment: lift truck or reach truck with retractable mast.

Experience in inputting data in a computerized system.

*Recent experience is defined as having performed similar tasks in the past seven (7) years, including at least twelve (12) consecutive months.

Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

Information on language requirements

Knowledge of regulations and procedures governing storage of materiel (including hazardous materials).

Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) regulations.

Knowledge of health and safety practices applicable to a warehouse.

Ability to communicate effectively in writing;

Ability to communicate effectively orally;

Effective interpersonal relations;

Respect of the values and ethics;

The following may be applied / assessed at a later date (may be needed for the job)

ASSETS

Certification Dangerous Goods Transport (TDG).

Knowledge of the software SAP.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS

Membership in one of the designated employment equity group.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Works in a noisy, windowless warehouse.

Is exposed to dust, gas fumes from vehicles, fumes from chemicals and to all weather conditions when working outdoors.

Occupational health and safety training provided by the Canadian Space Agency.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

Ability to lift and move heavy loads weighting up to 25kg.

Valid driver’s license.

Protective footwear, hard hats, safety glasses and protective clothing are mandatory.
