Candidates invited to an interview will be required to bring proof of their education credentials, in the form of a diploma or official transcript (original documents only).
This process will initially be used to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A qualified pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term or acting basis.
Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Acceptable Combination:
3 years of experience combined with 5 courses in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a web related field.
Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information at http://www.cicic.ca/.
Recent and significant experience in researching, writing and editing a variety of communications products (such as: web content, communications plans and strategies, news releases, media lines, information sheets, feature articles, brochures and reports)
*Recent and significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be acquired by a person in a position over a period of at least 2 years in the last 3 - 5 years.
Experience in providing strategic communications advice to senior managers or clients within an organization.
Experience in managing communications and publishing for a website.
Experience with monitoring and responding to email and web based comments.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.).
Various language requirements
