Intent of the process

This process may be used to establish a pool of candidates that may be used to staff similar positions with various official language proficiencies, various security profiles and various tenures at CSC.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience in researching, analyzing and synthesizing data from a variety of sources with respect to complex* issues.

Experience in preparing and formatting various documents for management (team leader, supervisor, manager or an executive) such as, but not limited to, presentation decks, briefing notes, reports or other documents using various software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience in providing advice and recommendations to management**.

*Complex issues have more than one dimension and may include characteristics such as, but not limited to, large numbers of stakeholders, important/exceptional considerations/applications of policy/legislation, interrelated dependencies with other projects or programs, alternative forms of delivery, or approvals required from Central Authorities (such as Treasury Board or a Board of Directors or equivalent in the private sector).
** Advice and recommendations to management can be defined as providing advice or presenting information to a superior such as a team leader, supervisor, manager or an executive.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
A diploma/certificate in a field related to the position such as, but not limited to, social sciences.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the position such as, but not limited to, social sciences.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience contributing to the identification of business requirements for the development of IT systems, and assessing the adaption of those business requirements in the development of the system.

Experience in the extraction of data/information from IT systems/databases.

Experience using programming software such as Java, C++ and SQL.

Experience in the use of pivot tables (Microsoft Excel).

Experience administering project tracking or monitoring systems.

Work experience with the Federal Public Service.
