The Department of National Defence (DND) is the largest federal government employer, offering over 70 different types of civilian career opportunities. DND's role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. A degree from a recognized university in communications, public relations, journalism or some other speciality relevant to information services.
Experience in writing and editing original media materials.
Experience in media, public relations, or community relations.
Experience in managing internal communication projects.
Experience monitoring or analyzing media issues and trends.
Experience providing senior leaders/executives or clients with advice regarding Public Affairs.
Experience utilizing Photoshop or the Adobe suite.
Experience preparing and implementing communications strategies within a governmental or corporate context.
