Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff 2 to 4 positions on a term or an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified candidates will be established through this process and will be used to staff identical positions. These positions may be of various tenures, linguistic profiles and security profiles.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

• Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed, OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position.

An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined by having a post-secondary certificate or diploma and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field related to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

• Experience within the last five (5) years in PC support and troubleshooting in Microsoft Windows enterprise environment.

KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of the operation of computers, their software, peripherals and local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

• Recent experience of two (2) years or more (continuous or not) within the last five (5) years in analyzing requests for purchases of IT assets.

• Recent experience of two (2) years or more (continuous or not) within the last five (5) years in managing licenses and IT assets inventory.

• Recent experience of two (2) years or more (continuous or not) within the last last five (5) years, in computer support and troubleshooting in a Linux/Unix environment.

• Experience working in a secured environment using encryption tools such as: SecureDoc, Bitlocker or Entrust, etc.

• Recent experience of two (2) years or more (continuous or not) within the last five (5) years in computer support and troubleshooting in a company with 100 or more employees.

• Recent experience of two (2) years or more (continuous or not) within the last five (5) years in research on technology products and services from various resources.

• Recent experience of two (2) years or more (continuous or not) within the last five (5) years in inventory management of IT assets.
