PBIIMS is tasked with providing a multitude of services to the clients of the department of Business and Strategic Affairs for the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO).

The intent of this process is to staff 2 positions, one for a determinate period and one for an indeterminate period.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar positions at the AS-05 group and level with various tenures and various linguistic profiles within Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma
EXPERIENCE
E1: Significant* experience in developing designs in order to capture and translate business requirements into applications, interfaces or work tools.
E2: Significant* and recent** experience in the development of comprehensive documentation such as user manuals, technical manual or training material.
E3: Significant* and recent** experience in complex SQL (Structured Query Language) techniques
E4: Significant* and recent** experience in VBA, VBS, and XML languages
*Significant experience refers to the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities as the MAIN function.
** "Recent" is defined as acquired within the last five (5) years.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of a post-secondary program with specialization in Computer Sciences and/or Information Technology
EXPERIENCE
AE1: Experience using IBM Cognos 8 and up to build or validate reports
AE2: Experience in programming using one or more of the following languages: VB.NET, JavaScript
AE3: Experience creating tables, databases, forms, macros and reports using MS Access
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Ability and willingness to work overtime occasionally.
