Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory process.

A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established from this selection process and may be used to staff similar positions with different tenures (acting, assignment, deployment, indeterminate, secondment, specified period), with various linguistic profiles (such as Bilingual Imperative level BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC or English Essential) and various security clearances (Reliability or Secret) within the Department of Canadian Heritage in the Ontario Region.

**Ontario Region Offices are located in Toronto, Sudbury and Ottawa (at 1030 Innes Road).**

EDUCATION:

Degree (baccalaureate or higher level degree) from a recognized post-secondary institution OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

(EX1) One (1) year or more of experience working with the arts, heritage, official language minority community, Indigenous communities, or multicultural sectors in Ontario within the past five (5) years.

(EX2) Experience in building or maintaining partnerships with voluntary organizations, not-for-profit organizations, government organizations or other stakeholders.

(EX3) Experience in preparing briefing materials or providing strategic advice to supervisors.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

(ASSET1) One (1) year or more of experience in preparation of grant applications (applying for funding) or delivering grants and contributions programs (delivery of funding) with community or government organizations.

(ASSET2) Experience in working with or for voluntary organizations, associations, not-for-profit or government organizations related to the programs and mandate of Canadian Heritage, such as Official Languages, Indigenous communities, Multicultural sector, Arts or Heritage in Ontario.

(ASSET3) One (1) year or more of experience working with, for, or on behalf of Indigenous organizations or governing bodies.

(ASSET4) One (1) year or more of experience in evaluating audited financial statements and organizational business plans.

(ASSET5) One (1) year or more of experience in the planning or implementation of capital (construction) projects.
