Join our amazing department! Western Economic Diversification Canada has a two-year developmental opportunity in our Compensation and Benefits unit. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional organizational and time management skills, then this job is for you.

Under the exceptional guidance of this small but mighty team, you will learn the complexity of pay in the federal public service; advise on benefits to our employees; and work with the new pay system. You are a multi-tasking whiz with a strong ability to prioritize tasks, anticipate needs and assist in meeting deadlines. Duties are broad and varied, and every day is a new challenge.

As part of a recruitment incentive, the successful candidate will receive a one-time payment of $4,000 after one year of continuous service.

Degree equivalency

Recent experience in providing services in compensation or benefits.
Experience in providing administrative support services.
Experience in providing client service.
Experience working with Excel.

Certification from one or more of the following recognized payroll and/or benefits associations:
- Canadian Payroll Association (Payroll Compliance Practitioner / Certified Payroll Manager);
- World at Work (eg. Global Remuneration, Certified Compensation Professional);
- Certified Benefits Professional;
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (e.g. Group Benefits Associate, Retirement Plans Associate, Compensation Management Specialist).

Degree equivalency

Experience in providing compensation services within the Federal Public Service.
