The intent of this process is to fill 2 positions on a temporary basis for 3 years with a possibility of an extension. The language requirements are as follows : English or French (1 position) and Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB level (1 position). A Reliability status security clearance is also required. A pool of (fully or partially) qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada or with other federal departments/agencies at the PC-03 group and level with various tenures (such as determinate period or indeterminate, actings, assignments or secondments), various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential and Bilingual) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.
The positions will be located in the Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Division where the team is responsible to lead adaptation programming. Working with a broad range of stakeholders, the Program facilitates the development and exchange of information, knowledge, and tools needed to plan and implement practical adaptation measures that increase the climate resilience of Canadian communities and industry.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in a science discipline related to the position.
Note: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily with a degree program in the required specialization.
Experience in the planning, analysis and development or application of approaches to climate change impact and adaptation.
Experience with multi-jurisdictional or cross-disciplinary initiatives or projects. Such experience may be gained in coordinating and participating in multi-stakeholder working groups or committees or, federal, provincial, territorial initiatives, or other similarly constituted activities.
Experience in preparing written documents (including reports, presentations and correspondence) targeting various audiences.
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in climate change adaptation or related discipline.
Experience in implementing programs or projects related to climate change impacts and adaptation.
Experience in collaborating with and gathering and analysing information from officials and sources such as various levels of government or the private sector.
Experience in developing or implementing training programs for adults or professionals.
Various language requirements
