Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff three (3) indeterminate vacancies. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions (including lower level positions) on an indeterminate or term basis, including casual employment and with various security requirements.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

– Minimum flying experience of two Long Range Patrol (LRP) tours in aviation.

– Extensive experience and training as a LRP Airborne Combat Systems Officer (ACSO) or LRP Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator (AES Op) in a leadership role.

Completion of post-secondary education in a field related to the work

Degree equivalency

– Experience in West Coast LRP Operations

– Experience with the CP-140 Block 3 mission systems in either the Procedures Crew Trainer (PCT), Operational Mission Simulator (OMS) or CP-140 Block 3 aircraft.

– Experience in a LRP Standards or Training role

– Knowledge of LRP maritime and overland tactics and procedures.

– Knowledge of CP-140 Block 3 aircraft systems, avionics and electronics;

– Knowledge of CP-140 Block 3 tactical mission systems.

– Knowledge of synthetic development, exercise and capability planning and administrative staffing processes.

– Continuous Learning

– Willing and able to work shift work
– Willing and able to work overtime as pre-authorized;
– Willing and able to regularly operate a mission simulator
– Willing and able to successfully complete associated annual exams and simulator proficiency checks as required
– Willing and able to travel, including internationally.

A written exam, hands-on assessments, screening questions, interviews and reference checks may be conducted.
