The intention of the process is to staff the position indeterminately (full-time, permanent position).
A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this process and may be used to staff similar positions within the Department of Canadian Heritage with various linguistic profiles, security requirements and tenures according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION:
Certificate from a recognized professional institution with a specialization in graphic design, or some other specialty relevant to the position OR an acceptable combination of high school diploma and three years of related experience.
EXPERIENCES:
-Experience working on animation and visual effects projects, from initiation stage to completion stage;
-Experience in providing animation and visual effects advice related to the planning, development and the implementation of video projects;
-Experience in conceptualizing and developing highly effective promotional video animations in a variety of mediums (i.e. social media, television, cinema, etc.);
-Experience in the conception of illustrations and graphic design;
-Experience in analyzing technical information and interpreting client objectives and requirements;
-Experience with automated systems and software applications such as MAXON_C4D, Avid, After Effect, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Cinema4D.
Asset qualification:
Experience as a video camera operator.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
Information on language requirements
Knowledge of leading edge design trends;
Knowledge of digital media.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
Ability to work under pressure;
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Reliability Status security clearance
Must be able to work overtime (weekends and evenings) on short notice.

Examples of animation work will be requested;
