The Capital Markets Risk Assessment Services Group is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Toronto Office in the position of Manager. This position will be part of a team involved in the analysis of FRFIs’ inherent market and liquidity risks, and assessment of market risk controls. The successful candidate for the position will have increasing levels of responsibility for leading teams and contribute to the leadership and operation of the group.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree with specialization in commerce, accounting, business, finance, economics or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of education, experience and/or training.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent experience in critiquing risk management practices and identifying key risk areas in institutions.
● Recent and significant experience in the financial services industry*, in one or more of the following areas:
o Risk management
o Corporate treasury
o Trading
o Trading management
o Liquidity
*Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions.

● Comprehensive understanding of OSFI’s Supervisory Framework.
