Please submit your application online. Your application will be screened to determine if you meet the essential education and experience factors. If you are screened in, you will receive an invitation for an in-person interview assessment located in Winnipeg. The assessment date will be held in February or March. You will be notified of the specific details including date, time and location in the invitation.
Candidates will be required to pay for their own travel expenses to the assessment. Failure to attend without valid reasons will be deemed as a withdrawal from the process. Please see Other Information below for list of valid reasons.
If necessary, in order to reduce the volume of applicants attending the assessment, it may be determined that only candidates who possess 1 or more of the asset qualifications may be invited.
Please provide us with the names and contact information of 2 references, one current supervisor/manager and one past supervisor/manager and their contact information (name, position/title, phone number, email address). Your reference contacts must be able to attest of your professional experience and competencies as well as your personal qualities as an employee.
Please bring a photocopy of your proof of Canadian Citizenship or your eligibility to work in Canada, as well as your proof of education and copy of your resume to the assessment.
Screening Questions:
It is your responsibility as a candidate to answer the following screening questions (i.e. Education and Experience Qualifications, both Essential and Assets). Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that you meet the qualifications or to provide a listing of current or past task descriptions. Rather you must provide concrete examples, which illustrate how you meet each qualification. Candidates must clearly indicate the length of their work experiences, by providing detailed information.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established within Transport Canada and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (including casual/term/indeterminate), various security profiles (Secret or Reliability) or various linguistic requirements (English essential, Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB).

A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience in providing clerical support services. (e.g., reception, managing office supplies, data entry, filing, processing mail, etc.)
Experience in providing client services delivery in person or by telephone or electronically.

A post-secondary certificate and/or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution relevant to the position to be staffed.
Experience maintaining a system of tracking budget expenditures.
Experience coordinating travel arrangements and travel expense claims.
Experience in providing administrative support services in Finance or Accounting.
Experience providing support services in Information Management.
Experience in Fleet Management.
Experience working in any safety and security transportation mode at Transport Canada (ex. Aviation, Surface, and Marine).
