Work environment

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill one immediate vacancy. A pool of qualified candidates resulting from this process may be created to staff current and future vacancies, and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (permanent and temporary).

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, education technology, distance education, or another specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EX1 – A minimum of two (2) years of experience designing and evaluating adult distance learning courses.

EX2 – Experience managing and coordinating multiple concurrent projects and teams.

EX3 – Experience collecting, classifying and indexing learning materials to ensure effective retrieval.

EX4 – Experience conducting research using online resources such as websites and databases.

EX5 – Experience utilizing one or more of the following software platforms: Articulate Storyline, SABA, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, or other similar electronic courseware authoring software.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

AQ1 – Graduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, in a specialty relevant to the position being staffed.

Degree equivalency

AQ2 – Experience in the contracting services through DND Supply Arrangement and Standing Offer contracting vehicles (or comparable / transferrable experience that an applicant would have acquired from outside DND).

AQ3 – Experience working in a training or education environment.

AQ4 – Experience conducting training needs analysis and identifying training establishment requirements.

AQ5 – Experience producing formal written correspondence.

AQ6 – Experience utilizing performance improvement principles
