The intent of this process is to staff 1 position (anticipatory) in Sidney and to create a pool of partially or fully qualified candidates that could be used to staff similar or identical positions at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

Education:
• A University degree or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
• Recent supervisory experience in an information management setting accountable for setting workplans, managing priorities and deadlines, and ensuring quality control.
• Experience in sourcing and analyzing data, and synthesizing information in order to make evidence based recommendations or conclusions
• Recent and significant experience in establishing and maintaining working relationships with managers, co-workers, clients, and stakeholders or interest groups.
* Recent experience is defined as having been acquired within the last three (3) years.
** Significant experience is defined as depth and breadth of experience that would normally be associated with the performance of the duties as a major function for one (1) year.
Education:
• Diploma or certification or significant experience in a field of study that involves the acquisition and interpretation of data.
Experience:
• Experience in producing research or technical papers
• Experience developing systems and/or processes or guidelines or policies for identifying, collecting, maintaining and evaluating information,
• Experience leading focus groups or surveys or data collecting initiatives

Knowledge:
• Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, and advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of data collection techniques such as surveys and interviews
Abilities:
• Ability to analyze and interpret information, and evaluate problems and to present recommendations for practical solutions

Reliability Status security clearance
• Must hold a valid Driver’s Licence or mobility normally associated with a valid Class 5 Driver’s license.
