You will be providing support to an executive as well as an amazing group of staff that go above and beyond to promote economic diversification and development in western Canada. You are a multi-tasker whiz with a strong ability to prioritize tasks, anticipate needs and assist in meeting deadlines. Duties are broad and varied. From daily managing of the executive’s calendar to setting up meetings and booking travel for the branch, to producing reports and supporting documentation – every day is a new challenge.
As the position provides support to an executive, you will be exposed to sensitive information and a high degree of diplomacy is required. Our ideal candidate will have:
• Successfully completed a secondary school diploma (according to provincial/territorial standards) or has a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
• Recent* and significant** experience in general office administration such as, arranging meetings (in-person and virtual), preparing background material for meetings, making travel arrangements, managing calendars, and receiving and directing telephone calls.
• Experience providing financial management support services.
• Experience preparing and formatting various documents for senior management.
• Experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
*We define recent as experience obtained within the past two (2) years.
**We define significant to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex, related activities for a minimum of two (2) years.

Although these are not essential qualifications, we consider them as assets:
• Successful completion of post-secondary school education.
• Experience providing executive support services.
• Experience using GCDocs.
• Experience using the HRG travel system.
• Experience with Assistant Deputy Minister, Deputy Minister and Ministerial correspondence.
• Experience working in CCM or similar document tracking software (i.e. CCM Mercury / CCM Enterprise).
Secret security clearance - Other positions may require Reliability status.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
