The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is Canada's second largest law enforcement organization, working 24/7 to protect Canada's borders by preventing high-risk people and goods from crossing into Canada while facilitating legitimate trade and travel, with over 15,000 employees working across Canada.

Whether you are seeking employment as an administrative assistant, a cashier-counter clerk, a senior human resources assistant, an enforcement clerk, an administrative assistant to the Director, etc. this job opportunity is for you! With hundreds of offices and service locations across Canada, the CBSA has the position right for you.

Intent of the process

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is looking for talented candidates to fill various administrative support services positions at the CR-03, CR-04, CR-05 and AS-01 groups and levels.

Committed to people and service excellence, the CBSA is moving towards a collective staffing approach through the use of one selection process for positions with common group and levels across Canada. As such, if you are considering a career with the Agency, you are highly encouraged to apply. By doing so, you will have access to a greater number of job opportunities through only one selection process.

The CBSA's intention is to create a partially qualified pool of candidates who meet the essential qualifications. Candidates may be evaluated further, for specific opportunities, on qualifications that are deemed necessary, whether or not the qualifications have been identified on the statement of merit criteria for this selection process. If you qualify in this selection process, you will be placed in a pool of partially qualified candidates accessible to all hiring managers who have vacancies to fill within the CBSA in the National Capital Region.

Given the size of the pool of candidates to be established, hiring managers may first consider partially qualified candidates in the general proximity of the work location of the positions to be staffed.
