Duties

As an Integrity Services Officer, you will work to provide services, informing clients of their rights, obligations and responsibilities under the Employment Insurance Act. Your analytical skills, your judgment and your communication skills will be put to good use. You will be part of a strong and innovative team that has been evolving since its creation. The activities to be performed as part of your duties will include:

• Animating group information sessions in person and virtually to inform citizens of their rights and obligations in relation to their situation.
• Conducting investigations on citizens and employers to ensure that they are meeting their obligations and are adhering to legal requirements.
• Analyzing documents, conducting telephone interviews, identifying fraud cases and making recommendations on any required corrective measures; and
• Preventing fraud through your various awareness activities.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to create a pool of qualified candidates that could be used to staff positions at the Integrity Services Branch. The pool could also be used to staff similar positions at Service Canada – Quebec Region. Tenures and linguistic profiles may vary according to the position being staffed and the operational needs.

This process could be conducted in conjunction with other selection processes aimed at staffing similar positions within the Quebec Region. For all common essential qualifications, the same assessment tools could be used and the results could be transferable. A separate pool of qualified candidates will be created for each process.

Education:

• A high school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a high school diploma, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience ).

Degree equivalency

Experiences:

• Recent experience* in using technology (e.g., email or word processing software, Internet)
• Recent experience* in delivering services or programs to the general public involving obtaining and providing information requiring explanation or clarification

* “Recent experience” refers to experience acquired within the last 5 years.
Your experience will be evaluated based on the complexity and scope of the examples you provide in your cover letter. The experience may have been acquired as part of your studies and work and volunteering.

Education:

Successful completion of two (2) years of post-secondary education at a recognized educational institution (e.g., community college, CEGEP, university)

Degree equivalency

Experiences:

• Recent experience* of giving presentations to various stakeholders or groups of people
• Recent experience* of conducting investigations
• Recent experience* of interviewing clients.
