Duties

You will be responsible for researching, analyzing and managing data from multiple databases and will participate in several innovative and creative projects. You will play a key role in a dynamic team responsible for process analysis, setting up of collaborative tools, and the implementation of projects that facilitate data collection.

Intent of the process

We anticipate an upcoming one-year temporary vacancy, with the possibility of extension, for summer 2018. This position is located in the Quebec Region, in our Montreal office, located at 200 René-Lévesque Boulevard West. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (temporary, permanent), within Indigenous Services Canada, or at Health Canada, Quebec Region. Should the selected candidate already be a public servant, the pool could also be used for acting appointments.

Education:

College diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the duties of the position (social sciences, natural sciences, administration, etc.).

Degree equivalency

Experience:

1) Recent and significant* experience in data management (e.g. searching, retrieving, compiling, updating, analyzing, processing).
2) Recent and significant* experience in the development and maintenance of data visualization tools (dashboards, graphics, etc.) and/or tracking systems.

*Recent and significant experience is experience gained over a period of three (3) years in the last five (5) years.

3) Recent and significant experience** in the use of relational databases (e.g. SQL, Access).

** Recent and significant experience is experience gained over a one (1) year period over the last three (3) years.
