Duties

-Receive, assess and respond to front counter and telephone enquiries, complaints, and requests for information (e.g. criminal records checks, legislation, etc.) and services (e.g. motor vehicle collision reporting, receipt and cataloguing of firearms, fingerprinting services, etc.) from the general public.
-Provide information, advice and options to internal clients to assist in their understanding of and compliance with financial, administrative and operational policies, guidelines, processes and procedures.
-Research, input, modify, manipulate, track, analyse, extract and delete data and information in a variety of automated and manual filing systems, and develop and compile statistical and narrative reports and documents.

Work environment

This position is located in a law enforcement environment which includes regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one temporary part-time position.

A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a temporary or permanent basis, on a casual basis, at full or part time hours) for the Hudson's Hope Detachment.

Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Should a PS be found qualified and selected for appointment, notification regarding the PS appointment will be posted accordingly on www.canada.ca.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
