As Senior Counsel, you will work in the public interest, by prosecuting a broad range of criminal offences. You will also mentor and coach highly motivated junior counsel, and advise the RCMP and other investigative agencies. Senior prosecutors have a great deal of discretion in how cases are investigated and prosecuted. On a day-to-day basis, they are called on to make decisions about whether there is enough evidence to ensure a reasonable likelihood of conviction and if going to trial would serve the public interest.
Joining the Public Prosecution Service of Canada will be a transformative experience, both professionally and personally.
