It is not required to submit a cover letter for this selection process. However, applicants MUST complete the screening questions that will be generated by the system automatically once the candidate applies. Applicants must clearly demonstrate in their responses to the screening questions how they meet the Essential Qualifications (education AND experiences) as well as the Asset Qualifications (if applicable). Supporting details are required for each qualification, explaining, for example, the extent of the experience and relevant dates. The answers provided to the screening questions will be the main source of information and the curriculum vitae will only be referred to as a secondary source of information. Failure to provide complete answers may result in job applications being screened from further consideration in this process.
Please note that achieving the pass mark on any of the assessments used does not mean you will move forward in the selection process. Management may decide to use a score that is higher than the pass mark on any of the evaluations used throughout the selection process. Management may also decide to use top down selection or use one or more asset qualifications as essential qualifications at any stage of the process.

We anticipate that the exam will take place on February 20, 2018. We anticipate that interviews will take place in the week of March 26 to 30, 2018. Candidates are expected to make all reasonable efforts to make themselves available at that time.
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) leads the management of Canada’s fisheries and the safeguarding of Canadian waters. Anticipatory process
A pool of fully qualified and partially qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff positions with various tenures, **various language requirements (bilingual and unilingual positions) and security requirements. All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act may use this staffing process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position.
