The intent of this process is to staff one position on a determinate basis for a period of 2 years.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar EC-06 positions at Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), various language requirements (English essential, French essential, English or French essential, Bilingual) and profiles (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC), various security requirements (reliability, secret), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Graduation with a degree from recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, statistics, or sociology.
Significant* experience in preparing and presenting briefings, materials - for senior management (DG level and above).
Experience in building positive relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
Experience representing an organization at academic meetings or industrial engagements or provincial or territorial working groups or conferences in energy or R&D related issues.
Experience in assessing and managing environmental impacts, including air emissions.
Experience in working in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Experience in mentoring and supervising employees.
* Significant is defined as a minimum of 2 years.

Experience managing and providing expertise and leadership directly associated with development of energy or science and innovation policy.
Experience managing strategic planning processes.
