Intent of the process

Anticipatory. The immediate need is to staff one term Bilingual Imperative (CCC/CCC) position. A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a term, indeterminate, or acting basis, at full or part time hours) located in Metro Vancouver.

Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates inclusive of Public Service (PS) employees and Civilian Members (CM); for various positions with various tenures, various security profiles and various language requirements.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology or in any field relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience in providing guidance and advice to senior management and employees.
Experience in composing written correspondence and reports to management.
Experience using word processing software and spreadsheets.

The successful applicant will have to obtain, as a minimum, an Enhanced Reliability Status. In some cases/positions, a Top Secret Security Clearance may also be required. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of Criminal Activities, credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.
