Duties

Financial consumer protection is an integral part of the Government of Canada’s oversight of the financial sector. The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) ensures federally regulated financial entities comply with consumer protection measures, promotes financial literacy and raises consumers’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities.

To deliver on this mandate, FCAC draws on the skills and experience of a broad array of professionals, working at different levels and with different expertise. These include:
