To keep pace with growing and increasingly complex demands, the Small and Medium Size Banking Group Vancouver is seeking highly motivated individuals with a broad financial industry perspective to participate in the supervision, analysis and assessment of the financial condition, risk profile and risk management practices of Canada’s financial institutions. The Senior Supervisor will be a key participant in the on-going monitoring and on-site review of significant business line activities and control functions. This position also participates in the analysis and identification of both sound practices and emerging trends across financial sectors.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree with specialization in commerce, accounting, business, finance, economics or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of education, experience, and/or training.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent, significant and progressive experience in the financial services industry*, in one or more of the following areas (or other relevant area):
- Risk Management (Credit, market or operational risk)
- Internal/External Audit
- Debt/Equity Markets Analysis
- Financial Analysis/Management
*Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions.
