You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Successful completion of a post-secondary training program with acceptable specialization in mechanical, or civil engineering technology or employer approved post-secondary alternative related to the duties of the position such as a recognized journeyperson or red seal trades certificate or Qualification Level 6 (QL6).
Experience in project management
Experience working as a technologist in the field of architecture/engineering/information technology, including but not limited to the following: construction designing; specification writing and/or detailing and preparing working drawings in accordance with the relevant codes and standards;
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment; assessing project requirements and/or options related to infrastructure capabilities, reviewing, preparing and accepting engineering plans and drawings
Experience using a variety of computer software programs including but not limited to drafting and design software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS Viewer or similar Geospatial Information Systems viewer.

Experience using MS Projects
Knowledge of theories and principles associated with project management and construction of commercial & industrial buildings, utility systems, and roads.
May include but not limited to wearing safety boots, standing, climbing, using ladders, walking, lifting, bending, pulling and/or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, sitting, reading, writing, color determination, speaking and listening, for extended periods of time.
May include but not limited to wearing Personal Protective Equipment used in a construction and maintenance environment.
Must be willing and able to work overtime as pre-authorized.
Must be willing and able to travel
Must be willing and able to work in physically demanding positions such as confined spaces or heights
Must maintain a valid driver's license without restrictions issued by the Province of work
Must be able and willing to obtain a DND 404 (DND driver’s license)
Reliability Status security clearance
Possession of a valid (unrestricted and non-graduated) Canadian provincial or territorial driver's license such as a Class 5 License in Alberta.
