Immediate needs: 1 term position to staff for two (2) years, bilingual imperative BBB/BBB.
The intent of this process is to also establish a pool of fully or partially qualified candidates. The pool may be used to staff similar positions within Elections Canada with various tenures (varying specified periods or indeterminate) and various linguistics needs (such as: English or French, BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC).

Education:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with a specialization in communications, journalism, public relations or other specialty relevant to the position.
Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum educational standard whenever a bachelor’s degree without a specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
Experience:
Experience planning, delivering and evaluating events in a professional setting.
Experience giving presentations to diverse audiences.
Experience in providing advice to supervisors or management.
Recent* experience in researching and responding to enquiries to any of the following: general public, internal stakeholders or external stakeholders.
Recent* experience in researching and writing a variety of communications products such as briefing notes, backgrounders, presentations, brochures, Web content.
Recent* experience in assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of communications or outreach strategies.
Recent* experience is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
