A pool of candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions of variable duration within Shared Services Canada.

EDUCATION:

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in editing, proofreading or verifying correspondence or reports;

Experience using word processing and spreadsheet software programs;

Experience providing administrative support services in an office environment*;

*Administrative support services is defined as, but not limited to: managing agendas, scheduling and organizing meetings/teleconferences, preparing and collating meeting file folders and background materials, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, and other related duties.

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of sections 32/33/34 of the Financial Administration Act (FAA);

EDUCATION:

Successful completion of two (2) years post-secondary education from a recognized educational institution (e.g. Community College, CEGEP, university) with a specialization in office administration.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE:

Experience scheduling and organizing travel arrangements, or processing claims;

Experience in using a financial system, such as SAP (Systems Applications and Products);

Experience in performing tasks related to financial information or financial documents (e.g. budget tracking and forecasting, acquisition card reconciliation or petty cash);

Experience with a correspondence tracking system;

Experience in collecting information and preparing human resources reports;

Experience in managing a supervisors email.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

Willing and able to work overtime on short notice
Willing and able to work a fixed schedule of working hours between 8am and 5pm

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - - as a minimum or other levels of security up to Top Secret.
