Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory staffing process designed to create a pool of qualified candidates. This pool may be used to staff similar positions with similar requirements.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. Failing to do so could result in your application being rejected.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience; AND
• Graduation with a certificate/diploma from a recognized institution with acceptable specialization in records management, medical office or health administration, business administration, disability management, information management, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

• Experience maintaining a records management system.
• Experience working with and handling sensitive information.
• Experience in client service delivery.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

• *Recent experience working as an administrative assistant in a health professions environment (e.g., medical/dental clinic, hospital, pharmacy, physiotherapy/chiropractic clinic, disability management organization, etc.).

* Recent experience is defined as experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years.
