The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) has grown significantly in recent years, and will continue this growth in 2018-19. The Human Resources function plays a critical role in the support and development of the FCAC’s key asset – its staff.
FCAC’s Corporate Services Branch (CSB) would like to establish and maintain a talent pool in various HR areas. In light of the current and future priorities and plans, CSB wishes to attract professionals who have innovative ideas, are client-service oriented and who want a new challenge.
Are you looking for a change? Do you wish to add a new dimension to your career in HR? Are you passionate about the changing role of human resources? If you answered yes to one of these questions, this opportunity is for you!
If you submit an application in this process, you are not applying for a specific position. Your candidacy will be entered in a candidate pool for future positions to be filled. When positions come available, the applicants who satisfy the qualifications may be contacted for test and/or interview purposes.
We want to attract the best talent. That is why we are focusing on your experience and your competencies. To apply:
• you do not need to provide a cover letter (just a résumé); however, it must clearly demonstrate the desired experience;
• you do not have to satisfy ALL the experience criteria set out below, only the essential qualification(s);
• you must answer the online screening questions.
The FCAC is a separate agency offering the same pension plan and benefits as the public service. In addition, you will be entitled to a minimum of four (4) weeks of annual vacation, a competitive salary and annual performance-based pay. We are located in downtown Ottawa and have our own classification system (RE and REX).
A partially assessed pool of candidates may be created and used to staff similar positions with various tenures, language requirements/profiles and security clearances within the federal public service.
For selection purposes, we may apply the following criteria:
• breadth, depth, type of specific asset experience;
• experience or qualifications in relation to the operational needs of the Agency;
• level of one or more competencies or qualifications
Positions to be filled: Number to be determined

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification.
