In order to have your application considered, all screening questions must be answered. This process may be used to establish a pool of "partially qualified" candidates that may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various official language proficiencies (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, English Essential), various security profiles (Reliability Status, Secret), various tenures (Indeterminate, Term, Acting, Deployment, Secondment, Assignment) at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
"Partially qualified" refers to qualified on all essential qualifications except official languages requirements; the latter requirements will be assessed on a position by position basis after the creation of the pool of partially qualified candidates and once the right fit has been determined for each position being staffed.

EDUCATION
ED1. A diploma from a recognized college or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in interior design, architectural technology, architecture or another specialty relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE
EX1. Recent and significant* experience in developing complex project** plans in the fields of Office Planning, Interior design or Architecture.
EX2. Recent and significant* experience in managing construction, accommodation or interior design projects.
EX3. Experience in using AutoCad for the development and preparation of interior layouts, furniture plans, construction plans and/or detailed drawings.
EX4. Experience in providing technical expertise and advice to clients in regard to interior design, architectural configurations, space utilization and building infrastructure
Recent and Significant* is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of duties for a minimum of three (3) years within the last 10 years.
Complex project** is defined as high profile, multi-phased, involving several stakeholders and/or with a budget of $400k or more.

K1. Knowledge of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) office fit-up guidelines and standards.
K2. Knowledge of building codes such as the National or the Ontario Building Code applicable to accommodation management and the Accessible design for the built environment.

AEX1. Experience in supervising or coaching junior staff.
AEX2. Experience in procuring furniture and developing service contracts with Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC)
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to travel regionally and nationally
Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.
Secret security clearance
This factor is not used at the prescreening stage. The hiring department is responsible for the security clearance process.
