Intent of the process

A random selection will be used at any time during the process to identify which applicants from the inventory will be assessed. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and used to staff CR-05 positions within the Privy Council Office (PCO) in the National Capital Region, on an indeterminate and/or term basis. If a qualified candidate has been appointed on an indeterminate basis from the pool, they will be removed from the pool. If a candidate is appointed as a term employee, they will remain in the pool for future indeterminate opportunities.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Successful completion of secondary diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

EX1. Recent* and significant** experience in the provision of accounting operations services such as accounts payables, accounts receivables, within a client service organization.
EX2. Recent* and significant** experience in entering financial transactions into a financial system such as “SAP”.
EX3. Recent* and significant** experience in analyzing financial information including running financial queries and/or reports in a financial system such as “SAP”.
EX4. Recent* and significant** experience in the use of various software such as a spreadsheet program and a text processor.

*By recent experience we mean experience acquired within the last two years.

**By significant experience we mean experience whose breadth and depth are equivalent to task execution over a period of 4 months or more.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

Must be available to work overtime at short notice.
