A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates could be established to fill positions and will be used on an as-needed basis to fill similar possible positions within Health Canada.Tenures may vary according to the positions being staffed.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Graduation* with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, home economics or some other specialty relevant to the position.

*Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Recent* and significant* experience teaching French as a second language to an adult audience working in the Federal Public Service

* Recent and significant are defined as two (2) years of experience, within the last five (5) years.

Experience in using a variety of second language teaching methods and various methodologies

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Education:
A Bachelor, Master's or Doctoral level degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, or some other area relevant to the position.

Additional studies in second language teaching of adults.

Degree equivalency

Experience
Experience in teaching the "Programme de français langue seconde" PFL2

Experience in developing teaching material

Experience in pedagogical supervision, educational and administration

Experience in developing and implementing a language-training program in a Federal Government context.
