Intent of the process

As a result of this process, a pool of qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions at the EC-05 group and level on an indeterminate or specified period (acting, specified period appointment, assignment or secondment), with various linguistic requirements at the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency within the Operations Sector, in various regions.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.

Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in developing briefing notes, reports, or memos related to environmental assessment, public consultation or Indigenous affairs.

Experience in supporting or leading consultations or negotiations with federal or provincial government officials, or Indigenous groups/organizations or the public.

Experience in monitoring and assessing issues related to Indigenous affairs, public consultation or environmental assessment.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience participating in environmental assessments.

Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations.

Experience planning or conducting public hearing or public review and consultation processes.

Experience establishing working relations and liaison between headquarters and regional offices of a large organization such as a federal department.

Experience conducting consultations with Indigenous groups or organizations.

Conditions of employment

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Willingness and ability to work occasional overtime.

Willingness and ability to travel within Canada including to remote communities.
