The immediate need is a bilingual imperative CBC/CBC position located in Ottawa, Ontario.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, language requirements and security requirements. All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act may use this staffing process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position if a pool is created.

EDUCATION
EDU1- Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialization relevant to the position being staffed, OR an acceptable combination of education and/or experience.
Notes:
1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
2. It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.
3. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination* of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.
The acceptable combination* is defined as having a secondary school diploma in addition to a minimum of approximately eight (8) years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) or Information Management (IM) field.
EXPERIENCE
EX1- Recent* experience in developing a desired future state architectural model that addresses business needs.
EX2- Recent* experience formulating and implementing IT plans or strategies to achieve client or management objectives.
EX3- Recent* and significant** experience in the field of IM/IT.
EX4- Significant** experience analyzing business or client requirements.
EX5- Experience in writing, reviewing or analyzing Treasury Board submissions, proposals, business cases or project plans.
EX6- Significant** experience providing strategic advice and recommendations on IM/IT issues to senior management***.
*Recent is defined as experience that has been obtained within the past five (5) years.
**Significant is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of related activities for a period of three (3) years at the Team leader level or above (or private sector equivalent).
***Senior Management is defined as Director level and above.
EDUCATION
AEDU1- A diploma from a 3-year program offered by a recognized college with specialization in computer science, computer engineering or any other field related to the position.
AEDU2- A bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in computer science, computer engineering or any other field related to the position.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
APC1- Enterprise Architecture certification (such as TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
APC2- Process mapping Certification (such as Six Sigma)
APC3- Agile Certification (such as ScrumMaster)
APC4- ITIL Certification
EXPERIENCE
AEX1- Recent**** experience providing services as an Enterprise Architect or for one of the following architecture domains (business, information, application, technology, security, etc.).
AEX2- Experience in completing technical options analysis.
AEX3- Recent**** experience in producing Architecture related documentation.
AEX4- Experience contributing to an Enterprise Architecture initiative
AEX5- Experience using Enterprise Architecture tools (such as Sparks, Qualiware, etc)
AEX6- Experience in developing and managing a Departmental IT planning and architectural program, including Human Resources, Financial Resources, and Project and Work assignments.
AEX7- Experience in one or more current and emerging trends and developments in Enterprise Architecture, such as, but not limited to:
o Secured mobile devices
o Cloud computing
o Service Oriented Architecture
o Enterprise GC-Wide Solutions
o Open standards
o Big data
o Mobile apps
**** Recent is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex related activities within the last three (3) years.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.

Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)
We are currently seeking to staff one bilingual imperative CBC/CBC position but a pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, language requirements and security requirements.
