An inventory advertisement allows a continuous intake of applications, over as long a period as desired. This inventory has no closing date, although one may be added in the future. Once a candidate has submitted their application it will stay active in the inventory (assuming it meets the essential screening criteria) for 90 days. At the end of that period, candidates will need to refresh their application to ensure it stays active in the inventory. Seven days prior to the end of the 90 day period, candidates will receive a notice to their PSRS profile instructing them that their application will expire unless it is refreshed. Candidates are also able to withdraw their application from the inventory anytime they desire.

The retest period for re-assessment within the context of this selection process is 6 months from the date of elimination at either the written exam, interview, or reference stage of the process. If you submit an application to this selection process before the retest period has elapsed your application will not be considered.

When submitting an application to this selection process, you will be prompted to answer screening questions concerning the essential education and experience qualifications. It is your responsibility to provide clear and concrete examples in your responses to each question, including when (from-to), where (occupational title, organization) and how you obtained your education and experience. It is recommended that you describe the experience examples in specific terms, providing sufficient details so that the Assessment Board can clearly understand. Describe the situation/task, the action you took, what you accomplished and/or what you learned. The content of your response must be supported by your resume as your responses to these questions will be used as a primary source of information and your resume will only be used to validate this information. Should you indicate in your response "please refer to resume" your application will be rejected. Lack of examples and details will result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine if the requirement is met.

This inventory will be used to staff similar positions with various language requirements and profiles and various security requirements.

These positions may be staffed on an indeterminate or temporary basis.

All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act may use this staffing process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position.

Stream 1: Administrative Support Assistant

Experience providing administrative support in one or more of the following areas:

Stream 2: Financial Assistant

Experience providing financial support services in one (1) or more of the following:
1. Reconciling financial transactions;
2. Verifying and paying invoices;
3. Extracting, reconciling, interpreting and compiling financial information for use by management;
4. Preparing budgets and financial spreadsheets;
5. Creating contracts and/or purchase orders.

Management may decide to use a score that is higher than the pass mark on any of the evaluations used throughout the selection process. Management may also decide to use top-down selection at any stage of the process.

A cut-off score may also be used at any stage of assessment.

A top-down screening approach may be undertaken. Only the top ranking candidates may be invited to the assessment phase of the process.
