We are looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to join our team, where you will be encouraged to share your thoughts and innovative ideas to witness first-hand the positive impact your work has on the health of Canadians!
This process will initially be used to fill 1 position. The result of this selection process will be to create a pool of qualified candidates from which future permanent and/or temporary AS-02 vacancies at the Public Health Agency of Canada may be filled. Assessment will be completed entirely using the application you have provided. Thus, please provide complete responses and concrete examples in your application for all sections. There will not be any written tests or formal interviews. Once candidates have been found qualified, they may be contacted for best-fit interviews.
Some examples provided by candidates in the assessment of qualifications will be validated by a reference check. When requested, candidates must provide the name and contact information of a person who can confirm the example.
All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this selection process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position.

Education
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
• Experience in the provision of services to management, including responding to incoming telephone calls and managing electronic calendars, scheduling and set-up for meetings and events, as well as the organization and preparation of meeting agendas and materials.
• Experience in monitoring deadlines and managing the flow of action items originating from more than one work unit.
• Experience in using the following software or database operating systems: Microsoft Word, email management systems (e.g. Lotus, Outlook, etc.) and Excel.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBB/CBC)

Asset Qualifications
• Experience working in a Senior Executive’s Office.
• Experience working with stakeholders, different levels of government, nongovernmental organizations or partners and managing relationships.
• Experience in providing support on human resource actions and finances for a division or unit.
• Experience in the provision of administrative and financial practices and procedures.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willing and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Willing and able to work overtime.
Willing and able to travel.
