Intent of the process

Please note that geographic limitations apply. You must reside or be employed in the above areas of selection if you are interested in being considered. This position is located at Rideau Hall, 1 Sussex Drive, Ottawa.

The immediate need is to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures (such as indeterminate or specified period, etc). These positions could have various security and language requirements.

High school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience in providing transportation services as a driver to clients.

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Bilingual - Imperative (B-B/B-B)

Information on language requirements

Knowledge of the driving code and traffic regulations.

Ability in assisting in the scheduling of a transportation service.
Ability to follow chauffeurs’ protocols and driving code.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
Ability to work under pressure.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

Possess and maintain valid Canadian driver’s license (a clean driver abstract is required upon demand);
Willingness and ability to regularly work overtime in the evenings, weekends and holidays;
Willingness and able to lift and handle material weighing up to 23 kg.
