The intent of this process is to staff a number of positions on a term or indeterminate basis. A partially qualified pool of candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles, tenures and/or security clearances within Statistics Canada.

Experience
Experience in providing clerical, technical or administrative support services.

Asset Criteria
Experience:
AEXP1: Experience in a distribution centre or mailroom environment.
AEXP2: Experience in the use of spreadsheets (ex., Excel) or database software (ex.., Access) or SAS.
AEXP3: Experience in providing support in regard to surveys or a census.
AEXP4: Experience in providing administrative support to a senior manager.
AEXP5: Experience in forms or questionnaire design.
Operational Requirements:
For some positions, employees may occasionally be required to work overtime on short notice. The hours of work may also vary: day, evening, weekend or shift work.
Lifting heavy boxes (23kg/50lbs.) may occasionally be required depending of the position to staff.
Reliability Status security clearance
Applicants must complete the Unsupervised Internet Test of Cognitive Ability - Level 1 as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses general problem solving and reasoning ability. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.

The "Unsupervised Internet Test (UIT)" from the Public Service Commission will be administered as part of the online application. A minimum score of 65% is required to be considered further. The following Public Service Commission test "General Competency Test Level 1 (GCT1) 207" will be administered. If you have already passed this written exam, PLEASE HAVE YOUR RESULTS READY TO BE SENT TO US. Invitations to the GCT1 written test will be sent by e-mail. It is your responsibility to include in your application a valid e-mail address and make sure this address is functional at all times and that it accepts messages from unknown users.
A pass mark of 30/50 is required to be considered for the CR-03 opportunity.
We will notify you in advance of when the testing period will take place. If you fail to keep an appointment without reasonable cause and notification, your application will no longer be considered in this process.
Note: The ability to communicate effectively orally will be assessed via informal interviews.
Remember: You must keep your exam appointment except under the following circumstances:
- Illness (a medical certificate will be required)
- Emergency Circumstances (must be verifiable)
You must present your proof of education and proof of Canadian citizenship at the interview.
