The Cartels Directorate is looking for a paralegal interested in law enforcement. You will be working with an experienced team of officers motivated by a clear and important objective for the economy: the fight against illegal activities such as conspiracies and bid-rigging. If the idea of conducting inquiries and participating in searches and witness interviews is attractive to you, and if the prospect of reviewing and categorizing hundreds of documents to deliver a high-quality file to public prosecutors in support of judicial proceedings does not scare you, we need you!
Paralegals in the Mergers Directorate support Competition Law Officers in conducting merger reviews in all industries of the economy to determine whether a merger transaction is likely to result in substantial lessening or prevention of competition, which means higher prices or reduced service or innovation for Canadians and Canadian businesses. If the idea of learning about many different industries, working in teams of motivated individuals in a fast-paced environment, and having a diverse range of responsibilities appeals to you, we may be the right fit for you!
