Duties

This position plans, organizes, directs and controls projects and/or activities related to real estate property management, including the acquisition or renovation, operation and disposal of real property.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill an indeterminate AS-02/SPS-ADM-02 vacancy In Newmarket, Ontario. A pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill the same or similar positions at the AS-02/SPS-ADM-02 group and level in Newmarket - Ontario, Milton - Ontario, Ottawa - Ontario (73 Leikin Drive) or Montreal Island - Quebec, on an indeterminate or term basis.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

A post-secondary school diploma in one or more of the following areas: Property Management, Facility Management, Financial Management, Urban Planning, Design and Construction; Environmental Management, Public Administration or Business Administration.

Degree equivalency

BOMA - Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation.

BOMA - Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designation.

Experience in one or more of the following areas: urban planning, Environmental management, public administration, business administration.

Experience providing advice to management.

Experience in working with SAP software.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

Possession of a valid "G" Class Ontario Driver's license.

Willingness and ability to travel.

Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.

The hours of work for this position are 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day (Monday to Friday). Due to the nature of the duties, requests for variable hours of work (ie. compressed) cannot be approved.
