The intent of this process is to fill six (6) indeterminate positions in Montreal, Quebec.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various language requirements and profiles, security requirements and/or tenures within Environment and Climate Change Canada.

ED1 Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution OR a successful completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program and an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position being staffed.
EXPERIENCE
EX1 Significant and recent* experience in communicating and processing information with internal and external clients.
EX2 Experience in analyzing and synthesizing information from diverse sources into briefing materials or reports.
EX3 Experience in data entry and in the use of multiple software: Microsoft office suite (word processing, spreadsheet, email) and web-browsers.
* Significant and recent experience is defined as the experience obtained by the candidate is representative of the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties for a period of approximately two (2) years within the last five (5) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATION - EDUCATION
AED1 Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a science relevant to the duties of the position.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE
AEX1 Significant and recent* experience in communicating and processing regulatory information with internal and external clients.
AEX2 Experience in communicating with federal, provincial or territorial authorities.
AEX3 Experience in analyzing information or writing reports about environmental and/or regulatory issues.
AEX4 Experience in responding to emergency type inbound calls within a call center environment.
AEX5 Experience in working in a 24/7 environment.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
In an office environment, the work involves tight deadlines to feed into other activities.
The work involves wearing a headset continuously and remaining at your desk for a continued period of time.
Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, often on short notice.
The work involves remaining ready to receive and process files, regardless of the incoming volume (low or high). This means to be able to adapt to calm periods with potential delays in between incoming files and to busy periods requiring processing multiple files at once.
The work involves preparing reports that can be used in a court case.
The work involves prioritizing files in an emergency setting.
The work involves working alone during night and week-end shifts.
Reliability Status security clearance
Work in rotating shifts from 8 to 12 hours (24/7 x 365)
