Financial consumer protection is an integral part of the Government of Canada’s oversight of the financial sector. The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) ensures federally regulated financial entities comply with consumer protection measures, promotes financial literacy and raises consumers’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities.
To deliver on this mandate, FCAC draws on the skills and experience of a broad array of professionals, working at different levels and with different expertise. These include:
• web content writing and publishing
• project management and coordination
• stakeholder engagement
• educational program development
• event organization and planning
• workshop delivery and presentations
• data research and analytics
• team management
FCAC is a separate agency that offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core federal public service. From this process, we may establish a pool of candidates for use in staffing a variety of positions at various levels ranging from junior officer through manager, with various tenures, language requirements and security levels.

Diploma from a postsecondary* institution or an acceptable combination** of education, experience and/or training

Degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in administration, commerce, finance, economy, education, communications or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
1-Experience in formatting documents, as well as producing charts and graphs
2-Experience in researching information for special projects or in preparation of meetings and events
3-Experience using IM/IT tools such MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project); Adobe Experience Manager (AEM); Adobe Analytics; Webcims; SGDDI, RDIMS, SharePoint, WebTrends, Fluid Surveys, to produce statistical reports and analysis
4-Experience in writing information documents, such as briefing material, executive summaries, minutes, letters or emails for the team, senior management or external stakeholders
5-Experience coordinating logistics and producing documents for committee meetings or events
6-Experience gathering and compiling information and preparing reports
7-Experience developing and implementing processes to optimize the work of the team or incoming request analysis
8-Experience participating and/or managing projects that contribute to strategic objectives
9-Experience in publishing on a Government of Canada website using a web content Management System
10-Experience preparing and/or administering contracts, tenders or service level agreement
11-Experience developing and maintaining partnerships and/or networks with individuals and/or organizations

13-Experience in developing and/or reviewing educational material for the public related to financial products and services
