This process is designed to fill one Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC position in Halifax (Nova Scotia) on an indeterminate basis. A qualified pool of candidates may be established. This pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with similar requirements in Halifax (Nova Scotia).

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. • A secondary school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Significant* experience providing administrative support to a manager. Support duties could include managing an agenda or calendar, monitoring email, coordinating correspondence or arranging meetings/travel.
• Experience liaising with the offices of senior officials, partners or clients.
• Experience tracking and managing deadlines in a manager’s office.
• Significant* experience providing administrative advice to a manager related to at least two (2) of the following the areas: human resources, finances, accommodation, or procurement.
*Significant is defined as approximately 3 years experience.
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in field relevant to the duties of the position.
• Experience in providing administrative support to an Executive* in the Federal Public Service.
• Experience in budget planning, forecasting and monitoring expenditures.
• Experience tracking correspondence in an electronic document management system.
* Defined as an EX-1 (or equivalent) and above.
