In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
ED: A secondary school diploma AND a completion of an acceptable program in
electronics technology or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

NOTE: Normally, an acceptable training program in electronics technology involves the completion of two to three years of post-secondary study in this subject.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1: Experience in troubleshooting hardware and/or software systems.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Asset Occupational Certification:
OC1: Possess an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license.

Asset Experience:
AEX1: Experience in the operation and maintenance of full flight simulators that are qualified to Level “D” Transport Canada or equivalent and flight training devices.

AEX2: Aircraft avionics experience

Knowledge:
K1: Knowledge of analogue and digital electronic theory.
K2: Knowledge of computer systems operation, maintenance and troubleshooting including hardware and software structures.
K3: Knowledge in the use of modern test equipment.

Abilities:
A1: Ability to troubleshoot systems to identify deficiencies in the simulator software or hardware.
A2: Ability to interpret equipment condition information originating from write-ups in logbooks or user debriefings.
A3: Ability to analyzes and synthesizes information, identifies options and exercises judgment in order to determine the best solution; adapts to the situation.
A4: Ability to communicate effectively orally
A5: Ability to communicate effectively in writing

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Must be willing to work shifts.

Must be willing to work overtime as required.

Must be physically fit and be able to lift at least 15 kilograms.
