The Case Processing Centre in Vegreville, Alberta processes a wide range of cases from immigrants around the world.

The office is moving to Edmonton in September 2018. Your training would begin in May 2018 in Vegreville before the office moves to Edmonton.

Successful applicants will be working in Vegreville from May until August 2018, and Edmonton thereafter.

Your assessment results on this selection process will determine the position level (s) for which you will be found qualified.

Intent of the process

Create a pool of qualified candidates that will be used to staff positions on a temporary (6 months or less) basis at the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Case Processing Centre in Vegreville. Note that the Case Processing Centre Vegreville is relocating to Edmonton as of September 4, 2018. Casual and term contracts will be offered to qualified candidates with a start date effective May 2018 in Vegreville. If successful in Vegreville, future employment opportunities at the Edmonton location could be offered in September 2018.

Term and/or casual: This pool may be used to staff one or many similar positions on a temporary basis (6 months or less), of any official languages requirements at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada across Canada.

There could be day and evening shifts opportunities at the office location connected to this selection process. Job offers are made based on staffing and operational needs.

Should you decline an evening shift offer, you will not be offered another evening shift position at the same level and tenure for that office. However, you will retain your position in the candidate pool for any future day time opportunities.
