The IMMEDIATE NEED is to staff FOUR (4) INDETERMINATE POSITIONS in Ottawa, Ontario.
A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various language and security requirements, for permanent or temporary vacancies, within the federal public service in the National Capital Region, Toronto and Vancouver.

EDUCATION
You must have obtained the following education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
NOTE: Indeterminate incumbents of incumbents of positions in the PE group on October 1, 1999 who do not possess the education level prescribed above are deemed to meet the education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
You must have gained the following experience:
Stream 1 - Staffing
EX1 - Recent* and significant** experience in providing staffing services.
EX2 - Recent* and significant** experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management*** on various complex**** human resources issues.
Stream 2 - Classification
EX3 - Recent* and significant** experience in providing strategic advice and guidance on various complex**** files in Organizational Design and positions classification.
EX4 - Recent* and significant** experience in chairing positions evaluation committees and writing positions evaluation reports.
DEFINITIONS:
*Recent is defined as experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years.
**Significant is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties for a period of approximately three (3) years.
***Senior management is defined at the Director level or above.
****Complex is defined as a variety of files or projects which require research, analysis, consultations and consideration from the perspective of applicable legislation, policies and guidelines.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
AEDU - Professional certification: Accreditation in classification (from a federal government department).
AEX1 - Experience in developing assessment tools for staffing processes (written exams, interviews questions, reference checks, etc.).
AEX2 - Experience in providing competency-based human resources management.
AEX3 - Experience in resourcing for executives.
AEX4 - Experience in organizational design.
AEX5 - Experience leading an HR strategies related projects other than HR planning.
AEX6 - Experience in developing plans, strategies, programs or policies in staffing.
