Intent of the process

THE INITIAL APPOINTMENT WILL BE BILINGUAL IMPERATIVE CBC/CBC

- A pool of qualified persons resulting from this process MAY be created and MAY be used to fill similar positions with linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative CBC/CBC) as well as tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment, specified period) which may vary according to the position being staffed.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
-Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

NOTES:
Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
-*Recent and **significant experience as a Project Manager for application development OR Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) OR operations/infrastructure projects having experience in three (3) of the following:
- preparing and maintaining project schedules,
- managing project budgets and forecasts,
- coordinating project implementation, work packages and estimates,
-liaising with suppliers on contractual, cost/schedule, scope management and quality performance of deliverables;

-Experience in providing IT support and strategic advice to ***Senior Management;
-Experience in developing Requests for Proposal for the procurement of professional services, hardware and software ;
-Experience in preparing and presenting project progress in front of ***Senior Management.

*Recent: refers to experience normally acquired within the last five years.
**Significant: refers to the depth and breadth of experience associated with the performance of a broad range of related activities which were primarily the candidate's responsibility. It will be assessed on the basis of the scope, complexity and the diversity of the work performed as well as the autonomy required of the candidate to perform the activities. This level of experience is normally achieved through the performance of relevant duties on a regular and continuous basis for a period of two years.
***Senior management is defined as EX-01 and above.

-Knowledge of GoC trends in IM/IT;
-Knowledge of the policy on the Management of Projects as well as Project Management practices.
