OC1 – Possession of a valid interprovincial journeyman certification (Red Seal) or valid provincial certificate in the applicable province of employment as a Motor Vehicle Body Repairer or any other equivalency recognized by the provincial or territorial authority such as a Qualification Level (QL) 5 – CAF Materials Technician.

AE1 – Recent* experience as an auto body repairer
*Recent is defined as within the last three (3) years
AE2 – Significant* experience as an auto body repairer
*Significant is defined as experience of four (4) years or more
AE3 - Experience working with paint system
AE4 – Experience working in a military environment
AA1 - Ability to use and maintain variety of paint equipment such as HVLP Paint spray systems, pressure paint gun, or paint mixer
AA2 - Ability to use and maintain a variety of specialized equipment such as sandblasting equipment, heavy lifting or hydraulic frame straightening equipment.
AA3 - Ability to develop plans and estimates for vehicle body repair and refinishing technical projects
AA4 – Able to utilize Metal Insert Gas welding techniques for Auto-body repair.

OR1 - Willing and able to work overtime as pre-authorized.
OR2 - Willing and able to attend employer directed training

OR5 - Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 (Canadian military driving permit).

A written exam, hands-on assessment, interviews and reference checks may be conducted.
You must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience factors listed in the essential qualifications. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities or to write “see resume”. You must meet all of the essential qualifications noted in the Statement of Merit Criteria to be appointed to a position.
